We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Accountant (3–5 years) to coordinate and deliver a range of services to a portfolio of sole trader, company and trust clients. This role offers you the opportunity to work closely with senior accountants, and a CA with over 35 years’ experience to deepen your technical skills, and build strong client relationships.

Your Role
1. Client Relationship Management: Take the lead as the account manager for your portfolio of clients, building trusted relationships and coordinating day-to-day needs with support from senior accountants and accounting support staff.
2. Communication and Team Collaboration: Communicating clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues.
3. Compliance & Advisory Work: Prepare tax returns, financial statements, and other statements e.g. TPAR, FBT (BAS/IAS), STP finalisations, BAS/IAS for companies, trusts, sole traders and partnerships. Guide and review work of junior staff, support the firm’s automation initiatives and assist with client onboarding. Work closely with senior staff on advisory matters including tax planning, structuring, and automation integration. Learn to prepare and review Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) compliance work under direct supervision, developing specialist knowledge in this high-value area.
Requirements
1. 3–5 years’ recent public practice experience in Australia.
2. Degree in Accounting (CA/CPA qualification started or completed preferred).
3. Working knowledge of Division 7A, CGT, and Small Business Concessions.
4. Proficiency in Xero (essential), with experience in MYOB and QuickBooks Online (desirable).
5. Strong understanding of Australian Taxation Law.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
