Every child deserves to feel safe, seen and supported. At the Karratha Women and Children's Centre, you will play a meaningful role in helping children and young people rebuild their sense of safety and belonging after experiences of family and domestic violence. This is work that changes the trajectory of lives, strengthens families, and matters.

About the role

You will provide developmentally appropriate, trauma‐informed support to children and young people, while also offering evidence‐based parenting support to mothers accessing crisis accommodation. The role blends therapeutic work, case management, safety planning and community engagement. You will be part of a warm, collaborative team committed to creating a safe and empowering environment for families. This permanent full‐time position is within the Karratha Women and Children's Centre, reporting to the Team Leader. Pay is in accordance with a SCHADS Level 5.

How you will make an impact

* Conduct ongoing risk assessments and safety planning using agreed tools
* Deliver effective case management to children and young people
* Provide parenting support that strengthens positive parent‐child interactions
* Deliver evidence‐based support services in home, school and community settings
* Build trusting, respectful relationships with children, families and community partners
* Respond to and report incidents and risks in line with TSA policy
* Maintain clear communication and handover with relevant staff
* Develop and update risk assessments, safety plans and outcome tools
* Work in partnership with local agencies, schools and community groups
* Participate in team meetings, case reviews, supervision and training
* Support service delivery needs including transport, group activities and preparing units for intake
* Facilitate programs and therapeutic activities including school holiday programs
* Work from a trauma‐informed, strengths‐based approach
* Identify service gaps and contribute to service improvement
* Support a positive, inclusive workplace culture

What you will bring

* Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Early Childhood, Counselling, Community Services or related field (preferred but not essential)
* Experience in a community services setting
* Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma‐informed, client‐centred support
* Strong time management skills and ability to work autonomously
* Well‐developed communication and liaison skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with agencies, families and children
* Strong computer skills including case notes and record management
