The opportunity
Come and join ARWA where we strive to provide safe and secure long-term management of Australia's radioactive waste; by developing and implementing disposal pathways and providing expert advice, based on international best practice of radioactive management, from generation through to disposal; to the Australian Government, waste owners, public and other stakeholders.

* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.

What you will do
Roles may become available in a range of disciplines including:

* Planning and Implementation
* Nuclear Safety and Security
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, applicants must:
* Be an Australian citizen or going to be granted Australian Citizenship before commencement. You may be asked to provide evidence of this.
* Undertake a pre-employment security assessment and subsequent security clearance. All staff are required to have a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
* Be medically fit to undertake the duties of the job.
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
Notes
A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.
The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles. This vacancy is ACT - Industry House,SA - Adelaide - Flinders St based, although flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered. Please reach out to the contact officer to discuss this further.
