The role
Overview
Fixed-term opportunity for a Product Manager until July 2027 to lead the strategy and delivery of high‐impact batch payments products, shaping how customers and businesses move money at scale.
Key Accountabilities
- Own and shape NAB's domestic batch payments products, driving strategy, delivery and continuous improvement end‐to‐end across the enterprise.
- Lead impactful, data‐driven product decisions, balancing customer outcomes, commercial performance and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and industry partners to modernise payment capabilities and deliver scalable, compliant solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end‐to‐end product strategy for domestic batch payments and agency banking products.
- Lead product and process management, continuously improving performance, controls and customer outcomes.
- Prioritise and drive product initiatives, ensuring delivery is aligned to customer needs, service outcomes and business priorities.
- Provide product insights, reporting and recommendations to inform decision‐making and strategy.
- Ensure products meet regulatory, risk and governance requirements, including ongoing reviews and issue management.
- Partner with front line colleagues, operations, risk, technology and stakeholders to deliver efficient, scalable payment solutions.
- Oversee day‐to‐day product performance, including pricing, customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Strong product management expertise, with experience across domestic payments and complex, regulated products.
- Proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders across technology, operations, risk and business teams.
- High decision quality and commercial acumen, balancing customer outcomes, risk and performance.
- Excellent communication skills, able to synthesise data and translate insights into clear recommendations.
- Strong risk management and governance capability, with experience navigating regulatory and industry obligations.
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively, identifying improvement opportunities and driving change end‐to‐end.
- Demonstrated problem‐solving and adaptability in fast‐moving, enterprise environments.
