Job Opportunity We are seeking an exceptional postdoctoral researcher or PhD graduate to explore the molecular mechanisms of potassium ion channel function and modulation. This research project aims to elucidate potassium channel conduction, inactivation, and modulation mechanisms by employing advanced computational methods and analysis. The systems being studied include BK (Big-conductance K), MthK, and KcsA potassium channels. The expected outcome is a deeper understanding of fundamental mechanisms of ion channel function and how these proteins respond to physiological and/or pharmacological stimuli to control electrical signaling in the body. This project is highly collaborative with leading experimental researchers in cryo EM and electrophysiology and has the potential for high-impact publications. Responsibilities:
