Keyflex Electronics is a small, highly specialised Australian manufacturer with over 30 years of success supplying custom electronic interface components to OEM customers across Australia and Asia. Our products—including silicone keypads, membrane switches, flexible printed circuits and capacitive touch solutions—are engineered to order and designed directly into our customers' devices.
We operate as a lean, technically strong team, working closely with product designers, engineers and manufacturers to support design‐in, prototyping, tooling and long‐term production. In our environment, individuals take ownership, move quickly, and have direct influence on both customer outcomes and internal decisions.
We are seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to support existing OEM customers and help grow our footprint across Australia and Asia.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands‐on, customer‐facing role with a strong technical sales focus. In a small team environment, you will take ownership of customer relationships and projects end‐to‐end.
Key responsibilities:
* Work directly with customer engineering and design teams to identify and support design‐in opportunities
* Provide practical technical guidance on materials, product design and manufacturability
* Manage projects from concept and prototyping through to production and ongoing supply
* Coordinate internally across quoting, documentation, production and delivery
* Build long‐term relationships and become a trusted technical partner to customers
* Contribute to business growth through new opportunities and customer development

means taking ownership, winning design‐ins, and seeing projects through to production in a fast‐moving, low‐bureaucracy environment.
About You
You're comfortable working in a small company where initiative matters, and you enjoy combining knowledge with customer interaction.
* A degree or strong technical background in Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or similar)
* Approximately 3–8 years' experience in electronics, electromechanical or industrial product environments
* Experience in technical sales, applications engineering or customer‐facing engineering roles
* Ability to understand drawings, specifications and manufacturing constraints
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently
Highly regarded:
* Experience with custom components such as silicone keypads, membrane switches, touch interfaces or flexible circuits
* Exposure to CAD or design tools (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe/CorelDRAW)
