Ormeggio at The Spit, located at D’Albora Marinas in Mosman, offers Contemporary Italian cuisine in a spectacular waterside setting, overlooking Middle Harbour and Pearl Bay.
It has Two Chef Hats in the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide and has been a hatted restaurant since opening in 2009. Ormeggio is currently rated #23 in Gourmet Traveller’s Australia’s Top 100 Restaurants, along with multiple other awards, an incredible team of skilled people from all over the world, and an award winning wine list.
Ormeggio is currently recruiting CHEFS.
You must be available with an immediate start.
Hours must be flexible and do include weekend work.
You will be trained as part of the role.
General Ormeggio Requirements:
•Current working visa or Australian resident
•Good English verbal skills
•Experience essential, preferred working knowledge of Italian cuisine
•Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and work as a team player
•Positive attitude and willing to both learn, share, and participate
•Excellent attention to detail
•Love of food and providing fantastic experiences for the customer!
•Hours can vary and can include weekend and holiday work
Essential Requirements:
•Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
•Minimum of two years working in fine-dining restaurants
•Formal Cooking Qualification
Tasks include:
•Work with team in menu planning, recipe generation, cook offs, writing of tasting notes, training and implementation
•Quality and Consistent Food Preparation and Cooking
•Cost Control to Budget
