The Opportunity
Centacare Catholic Family Services is committed to delivering high-quality services that make a real difference in the community. Our Policy & Quality Assurance (PQA) team plays a vital role in ensuring our services meet accreditation standards, legislative requirements, and drive continuous improvement.
We are seeking a Policy & Quality Officer to join the PQA team and support Centacare in maintaining compliance and accreditation readiness. This is a dynamic role with variety and impact—perfect for someone who thrives on detail, systems improvement, and collaboration.
In this role, you'll:
* Review & Develop Policies – drive research, review, and consultation processes to develop and maintain a policy suite that meets compliance and operational needs.
* Administer Policies – create high quality documents, consistent with Centacare branding and records management standards.
* Support Internal & External Audit Processes – coordinate targeted self-assessment and gap analysis activities that identify opportunities for improvement and ensure audit readiness.
* Continuous Improvement – identify and support systemic quality improvement initiatives to streamline operations and enhance service delivery outcomes.
* Monitor Compliance – stay across legislative and accreditation requirements (community services, NDIS, mental health, child protection, RTOs).
* Provide Governance Support – contribute and provide administrative support across a range of committees and working groups.
What You'll Bring
* Strong skills in reviewing and writing policy, providing advice, and managing documents
* Experience in quality accreditation, internal audit, or self-assessment processes
* Understanding of continuous quality improvement principles
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
* Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* A current DHS WWCC Check and Driver's Licence
It's a bonus if you have:
* Experience in the community services, not-for-profit, and/or government sectors
* Knowledge of accreditation and licencing processes across areas such as NDIS, mental health, child protection, domestic violence, homelessness, or RTOs
Special Conditions
This role may require:
* Use of own vehicle for work purposes
* Travel between Centacare sites, including occasional regional and overnight travel
* Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required
