Temporary full-time opportunity to join Logan Hospital as a Medical Records Administrative Officer and support the accurate management of patient information within the Scanning Unit. In this detail-focused role, you'll ensure medical records are processed, tracked, and accessible – helping clinicians deliver safe, timely, and effective patient care!
About Your Role
As a Medical Records Administrative Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and managing confidential patient records within a busy hospital environment.
In This Role, You Will
* Receive, track, and create electronic patient medical records
* Retrieve records across clinical and business units
* Scan, process, and maintain patient documentation systems
* Support staff with access to electronic medical records systems
* Manage release of information in line with legislation and policy
* Generate and monitor scanning and reporting outputs
About You
You are a highly organised and detail-oriented administrative professional who enjoys working in structured, process-driven environments.
You Will Bring
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing
* Experience using computer systems and Microsoft Office
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
* Good understanding of confidentiality and records management
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Experience in healthcare or records management (desirable)

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest-growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care. We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
