Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role combines hands‐on technical accounting and operational finance, with accountability for month‐end close processes and the delivery of accurate, timely financial reporting across a multi‐entity structure supporting exploration activities in Australia, South America, and Namibia.
You will be working as part of a tight-knit team with long-term tenure in the business, located in West Leederville, a short distances to public transport and cafes.
Description
· Own and manage the month-end close process, working with the finance teams to deliver accurate reporting.
· Maintain strong balance sheet controls and reconciliations across the business.
· Manage multi-entity consolidation and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to provide timely financial information to the CFO.
· Prepare financial and management reports and support the CFO with forecasting, cashflow insights, and financial analysis.
· Implement and monitor documented processes and internal control frameworks.
· Drive improvements in the financial controls environment and reporting processes.
· Coordinate external audit processes for half year and full year audit.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
· 7–10 years' finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting role.
· Mining/Resources industry experience is required.
· Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, financial modelling, and reporting tools.
· Australian work authorisation is required for this position.
