Expert in Defence Cyber Security Systems Engineering
This highly skilled professional will play a critical role in the development and implementation of robust cyber security systems for Defence. The successful candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and testing complex systems, including network, infrastructure, software, and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop engineered systems—software, hardware, and cyber infrastructure—to meet Defence's stringent requirements.
2. Develop engineering governance, design assurance, and requirements documentation for ICT system upgrades and projects to ensure seamless delivery.
3. Provide input and review of technical designs and solutions for ICT systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
4. Install new software, hardware, and equipment, and provide ongoing maintenance and support to ensure optimal system performance.
5. Design tests to verify system performance and identify areas for improvement.
6. Manage ICT Engineering Changes through the Change Control Board (CCB) to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related fields.
* Qualifications in Cyber Security and Project Management are highly desirable.
* Specialist experience in Linux & Windows, Cisco, DevOps & Programming, and VMWare.
* Experience with Defence and Mission ICT systems and networks.
* Understanding of engineering methods, design, and development.
* Australian citizenship and a minimum NV2 clearance.
