**About the role**:
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our highly motivated team. Based in Mangalore in Victoria, this role is responsible for Safety and Security Compliance. Our logistics business provides storage, maintenance and distribution services to the Australian Defence Force in an ongoing contractual agreement.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to make a real difference across the depots. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be primarily responsible for promoting a positive safety and security culture that is compliant with regulatory authorities.
Within the logistics services business there are +17 depots throughout Australia which allows various development opportunities as we strongly believe in promoting from within where possible.
- Implementing and administering site wide safety and security practices with the intent of preventing or minimising risk and hazard exposures
- Coordinating return to work and rehabilitation plans for staff within the region
- Conducting safety and security risk assessments and review and implement control measures
- Ensuring regional compliance with all Commonwealth & State legislative requirements and maintain all government required licences
- Coordinating and delivering regional training programs
**How About You?**
- Previous experience within a safety coordination role
- Understanding of systems and site security would be advantageous
- Experience within a warehousing, stores and distribution environment would be desirable

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
