The role
We are seeking a qualified (desirable) trade person to join our Maintenance Team to provide general handyperson services to residential care service.
As a Maintenance Officer, you will work autonomously and as a team, to provide routine, planned, ad‐hoc and urgent maintenance services and general garden maintenance. Requests are varied – from painting, patching and flooring repairs, to pruning, mowing and assisting residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes or bathroom and handrail installations – no day is the same in aged care.
This is a full‐time permanent opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine, planned, ad‐hoc and urgent maintenance services.
- Carry out painting, patching, flooring repairs, pruning, mowing and garden maintenance.
- Assist residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes, bathroom and handrail installations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry, painting, electrician or plumbing.
- Experience (essential) in aged care, health or community (highly desirable).
- Ability to perform maintenance works.
- Valid driver's licence (essential).
- Experience working in a wide‐ranging work environment.
- Customer‐service mindset – we are a person‐centred organisation.
- Planning and time‐management skills.
- Participation in an on‐call roster.
- Nationally coordinated criminal history check within last 6 months.
- NDIS worker screening check may be a requirement.
Benefits
- Pay: $49,900.00 – $92,546.85 per year.
