It plays a key role in shaping and implementing priorities, driving whole-of-government collaboration, and ensuring effective public administration.About the Role: The organisation is looking for an experienced EL1 Software and Licensing Procurement Manager. This urgent role will focus on establishing internal processes for software procurement and managing the full software asset lifecycle within a Microsoft-based ICT environment.Level/Classification: EL1 LevelContract Duration: 13 Months + extensions possible till 2027Location: Canberra, ACTRequirements:MUST hold an active NV1 security clearanceMust sign and maintain a Conflict of Interest and/or Confidentiality AgreementKey Responsibilities:End-to-end procurement of software licenses in line with internal policiesSource quotes, draft value-for-money and procurement risk assessmentsDefine software requirements with End Users and technical teamsEvaluate supplier quotes and conduct detailed EULA and contract reviewsManage vendor relationships and provide contract management adviceEstablish and maintain software asset registers and lifecycle plansMonitor license usage, provide versioning advice and forecast renewalsDevelop and deliver training, guidance material, and knowledge transferReport on compliance, license allocation and usage trendsCollaborate with ICT service desk and technical teams for allocation/installExperience and Skills Required:Strong knowledge of Commonwealth procurement legislation and policyProven experience across RFQ, evaluation, risk assessments, and contract formationHigh-level analytical and investigative skills, including advanced ExcelStrong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagementExperience in software procurement, asset lifecycle, and EULA reviewAbility to provide advice on software renewals, upgrades, and budgetingFamiliarity with Microsoft enterprise licensing and broader ICT softwareCertificate IV in Government Procurement (Desirable)For further information or a confidential conversation about the EL1 Software and Licensing Procurement Manager role, select 'APPLY NOW' or contact Alyanna Ensenado at 0261137521.
