Uniform Solutions is a retailer of corporate wear, workwear, school uniforms and promotional products. We cater for all industry sectors including office/corporate, health and aged care, the beauty industry, hospitality, mining and light industry, leisure & sporting, promo gear & schools. We are embroidery specialists with state-of-the-art embroidery machines, and can custom make and alter garments. Our range of services includes sublimation, heat transfers and screen printing.
About the role
This role involves receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming goods to ensure they match purchase orders, are free from damage, and are accurately stored. This is a crucial part of the supply chain, maintaining inventory accuracy, preventing errors, and keeping production and sales flow.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving and unloading:
Safely and efficiently unload deliveries from couriers and transport suppliers.
Inspection:
Check incoming goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against the order.
Verification:
Compare the physical count and details of the delivery with the corresponding purchase order or paperwork.
Data entry:
Accurately record the received goods into the company's inventory system. Labelling stock prior to allocation to showroom.
Storage:
Put away the goods in their correct, designated locations within the warehouse or storage area.
Manage the Invoicing system:
Invoicing of jobs following allocation of stock, allocation of sales, manage any backordering for incomplete jobs.
Deliveries:
Coordinate and complete any forwarding or deliveries on completed sales within agreed timeframes.
Safety and housekeeping:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards.
Sales:
When needed, provide support the sales team and serve customers when required.
About you
You are team oriented, fun, passionate and motivated to work
Physically capable – have the ability to perform manual tasks, such as lifting and moving stock, and potentially operating equipment like forklifts
Systems-oriented with the ability (and desire) to follow direction, while not being afraid to show initiative
Organised and thorough with an eye for detail
Proficient with computer systems and experienced in using inventory software and systems
Capable of working independently, as well as in a team
You can prioritise and multitask with the best of them
You are looking for something you can commit to long term
Your experience and knowledge
Previous experience, in a similar goods inwards/warehouse role
Previous experience in a uniforms/workwear environment would be highly regarded
