About the Opportunity
Join our highly regarded Technology Services department, which is led by experienced and supportive leaders.
Our investment in technology results in our team frequently refreshing our organisation's systems to world leading technology that sits within Gartner's Leader quadrant.
In this role you will lead the Manage Detection & Response (MDR) security project, your role will involve security operations responsibilities including cyber security and network engineering responsibilities, some key areas include :
Review alerts and threat intelligence from our MDR service provider
Provide incident response support and mitigate actions to contain threats
Research and implement security solutions to address areas of risk and vulnerabilities
Maintain the network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN and Wi-Fi
Analyse and make recommendations to improve the network, system and application architectures
Ensure network security is factored into the hardware and software evaluation, selection, installation and configuration process

About You
Your expertise and passion in security operations including cyber security and your background in network engineering are key to the success of the IT Security Operations Engineer role.
The mixture of responsibilities provides variety and exposure to a number of projects and stakeholders within Vision Australia, including the opportunity to deliver presentations to the board and senior leadership team.
To achieve the key deliverables of the role you will have :
Tertiary qualification in computer science, cyber security, or a related field
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or similar certification
Certified information systems security professional (CISSP)
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Experience in leading organisation wide projects
