An opportunity is now available for an experienced Mechanic to join a busy Darwin workshop, maintaining a large and diverse fleet of light and heavy vehicles, trailers, and mobile plant. We operate across a variety of sectors including Traffic Management, Linemarking, Civil Construction, and Landscaping.

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and qualified Mechanic with experience across both light and heavy vehicles. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet through ongoing maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work.
Key Responsibilities
Service and repair light and heavy vehicles, trailers, utes, and plant equipment
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting (mechanical and electrical)
Conduct routine preventative maintenance and inspections
Manage your workload and maintain accurate job records/logbooks
Support the workshop with general housekeeping and safety compliance
Contribute to a strong safety culture by following OH&S policies
Assist with procurement of parts, tools, and consumables as required
Provide leadership support and mentoring when needed
Skills & Experience
Trade-qualified Motor Mechanic (Australian-recognised Certificate)
Solid knowledge of diesel and petrol systems
Competent in electrical diagnosis and mechanical fault finding
Experience working on earthmoving or mobile plant equipment (advantageous)
Strong understanding of workshop safety and procedures
Ability to work independently and within a team
Good communication skills and a methodical approach
Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Valid Driver's Licence (HR or HC highly desirable)
Forklift Licence (advantageous)
