Our Client, SBH Ballina Pty Ltd are looking for qualified and experienced Cooks/Chefs to join our team in Shaws Bay Hotel.
About the Role:
We are looking for dedicated and skilled kitchen professionals who can maintain high standards of food preparation and service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties:
* Prepare, cook, and season a variety of menu items in a commercial kitchen
* Check food quality and ensure consistency in taste and presentation
* Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and manage food supplies
* Operate and monitor cooking equipment and temperatures
* Portion, plate, and garnish food to standard presentation requirements
* Store and manage food in temperature-controlled conditions
* Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
* Maintain stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
* Train, guide, and support kitchen staff where required
* Maintain high standards of kitchen organisation and efficiency
Qualifications
* Relevant experience or trade qualifications for a similar role
* Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality food preparation
