We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Investigative Officer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading investigations, promoting compliance, and engaging with the community to support fair work practices across the state.
The role is part of an independent statutory authority established to administer various acts, including the Child Employment Act 2003 and the Long Service Leave Act 2018.
Key responsibilities will include preparing cases for prosecution, drafting investigation plans, briefs of evidence, and enforcement recommendations. Advanced Excel skills will be advantageous in analysing complex data sets, identifying patterns, and supporting complex investigations and compliance audits.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong analytical skills and experience in independently conducting end-to-end investigations into criminal contraventions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in preparing and conducting interviews, and preparing briefs of evidence
- Demonstrated ability to uphold public service values, covering ethical standards and professionalism
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of industrial relations and regulatory compliance, and will be able to present findings clearly and persuasively.
