About The Role
We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. Last week, you might have:
- Worked in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
- Utilized assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
- Built meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
- Developed and implemented Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilizing positive behaviour support frameworks
- Conducted Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
- Collaborated within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
- Attended weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee, and laughs
- Tapped into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor
Who We Are Looking For

To work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will need a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters, or Graduate Diploma) and registration such as:
- Occupational Therapist with AHPRA registration
- Speech Pathologist with SPA registration
- Social Worker with AASW membership eligibility
- Mental Health Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Degree in Psychology, Psychological/Social Science, or related field
Additional requirements include:
- Deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Positive and flexible approach to work
- Strong communication skills and team orientation
- Commitment to personal and professional growth
- Valid Australian driver’s license
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children’s Check
