Overview
You will be a part of a supportive and dynamic team, delivering innovative products which are at the forefront of services offered by Dabble.
You'll be working with a modern, event-driven microservices architecture built entirely in TypeScript -powering both our backend services and React Native mobile app. We leverage Kafka for real-time data flow, integrate with a diverse set of third-party services, and deliver seamless experiences to hundreds of thousands of active users.
To be successful in this autonomous role, you will require outstanding software development skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise your workload.
Our 4 different streams in tech:
Our tech team works across four diverse streams trading, social, core and wagering. Each stream responsible for delivering different aspects of the app from conception to delivery. You will have an option to identify the area you're most interested in working with:
Trading: preparing markets and odds in our system. Work with 3rd part providers and human traders to create tools and systems. Technical and data focused role.
Social: App social experience, feeds, chats, marketing aspects. Everything from feed ranking algorithms, to highly visual front end components.
Core: Internal tools. Critical user journeys, sign up, deposit, withdrawal, KYC. Work with many stakeholders across the business.
Wagering: Focused on provided the best betting experience in the app. New bet types, sports and racing offerings and features.
Primary Location
This role is currently open to all locations within Australia.
Responsibilities
1. Assist with the planning, development and maintenance of the frontend and backend codebases
2. Develop maintainable, performant, fit for purpose software in a timely manner
3. Contribute to conversations regarding, but not limited to, software development process, project management (stand-ups/retros) and platform architecture
4. Stay current and provide insight on cutting edge software approaches, architectures, and vendors
5. Ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when developing solutions
6. Keep job knowledge up-to-date by studying new development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal and professional networks; participating in professional organisations
* Take opportunities to proactively share this knowledge with the wider development team
Skills & Qualifications
7. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a fully remote technology team
8. Experience developing for mobile and web platforms
9. Commercial experience working with Node.js
10. Experience working with React, React Native and relevant frontend technologies
11. Experience working with AWS and/or other major cloud provider
* A track record of successful project/product implementation

Remuneration
The advertised salary for this position is $160k - $200k+ Super + Benefits with room to be flexible.
