About the Job
The successful candidate will contribute to drafting and editing publications, reviewing and maintaining online presence, and implementing social media campaigns. Key tasks include developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance the Delegation's online presence, monitoring and maintaining the Delegation's social media profiles, and organising public outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in meetings of the media and public diplomacy group, and ensure follow-up on key tasks.
* Contribute to monitoring and follow-up of EU-related coverage in the Australian media.
* Keep media-related contact lists up to date and feed them into the general Delegation Database.
* Arrange information visits in Brussels for journalists and other multipliers.
* Manage the shared drive for photos and videos – select and streamline audio-visual material.
Requirements
* Australian citizenship or valid visa authorising full-time work and residency.
* Minimum graduate qualification in journalism, media, Public Relations, political science, or related field.
* At least two years' experience in media, online publishing, Public Relations, etc.
* Excellent English language skills (C1 level or above).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and digital media tools.
Skills and Qualifications
Candidates should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with a strong understanding of social media platforms and digital media tools. They should also be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a minimum graduate qualification in a relevant field.
