The Opportunity
This is a permanent full‐time position where you will be responsible for leading a passionate and dedicated team of staff to deliver HammondCare's model of care with its Social Club service at Elderwise Social Club in Scone, NSW. The role is Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm.
The Social Clubs provide a social environment where older people can take a break from their home environment, connect with their community and spend a day socialising while being supported by our talented team. We also host excursions for our guests on a bus on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities
* Aid in recruiting and leading staff, managing budgets, ensuring quality and overseeing all aspects of care provision at the Social Club
* Provide strong and effective leadership, direction and oversight of operation of the Social Club
* Operate the social club inline with CHSP Operational Manual
* Operate the club inline with Aged Care Act and Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
* Achieve targeted outputs for the social club
* Provide staff and volunteers with support and advice on daily operational care issues
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Aged Care or other relevant qualification
* Experience in Community Aged Care management
* Experience running a CHSP Social Club is ideal
* Demonstrated ability to use initiative and problem‐solve with limited supervision
* Strong organisational abilities, including effective time management and ability to prioritise in a busy work environment
* Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance
* Strong conflict resolution skills
* Experience managing a team of skilled professionals
* A current driver's licence and safe driving record
* Willingness to travel between HammondCare's sites and services
* Strong administrative and computer skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Empathy and patience
