KidsPoint is looking for energetic, enthusiastic speech therapists to join our team of multidisciplinary health professionals. Our Multi-disciplinary teams include Peadiatricians, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Dietitians and Allied Heath Assistants. We have had the privilege of serving children and families on the Central Coast in our private medical practice for the last 8 years.
We provide state of the art facilities including fully equipped therapy rooms, consult rooms, a kid friendly waiting room, outside play area incorporating a therapy and motor skills area, helpful admin staff, IT infrastructure and supportive team of colleagues. We are centrally located on the coast with access to a fitness facility and recreational centre, medical precinct, restaurants and services, yet only 12 minutes from the M1 freeway(9.2km).
You will be required to:
• Provide assessment of childhood speech issues by using clinical observations, screening tools and standardised assessments
• Plan subsequent treatment and interventions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
• Plan and participate in team-based interventions with other team members, i.e. Developmental Screenings, Diagnostic Assessment
• Consider doing school and home visits
• Collaborate with team members to develop new programs as identified to meet client and community needs.
Essential Criteria:
• Experience providing evidence-based speech assessments and intervention for children and adolescents
• Current Registration
• Professional Indemnity and Liability Insurance
• Current Working with Children Check (for employment)
• Registered as a Medicare provider
• Ongoing commitment to CPD activities as required
