Position Overview
WACHS South West is seeking dedicated Clinical Nurses to provide exceptional clinical management for clients with mental health conditions within our nominated area. This role is pivotal in delivering quality care in the community, ensuring that the highest standards of nursing practice and respect for individual values are upheld.
This is a Recruitment Pool for suitably qualified Clinical Nurses covering Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, and Fixed Term Part Time appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/07/2026.
As a Clinical, you will engage clients by identifying and implementing clinical management plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will guide clients through their mental health journey, conducting thorough triage assessments and promoting effective working relationships with other health professionals. This role also requires clear documentation and adherence to relevant legislation.
Ideal Candidate
Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Proven experience and practice skills as a Mental Health Nurse.
Strong ability to plan, prioritise, and manage client cases effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong interpersonal approach.
Experience working collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Solid understanding of the WA Mental Health Act *****) and other pertinent legislation.
Must possess a current C or C-A class driver's licence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical management plans in consultation with clients and the multidisciplinary team.
Conduct triage and mental state examinations in both clinic and community settings.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation per established guidelines and policies.
Promote and maintain effective communication with health professionals and community agencies.
Participate in clinical governance activities to uphold quality management standards.
