Job Title: Part-Time Contract Supervisor Near Goulburn

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Contract Supervisor to assist in overseeing two duplex construction projects in Goulburn.
This role is focused on site oversight, trade coordination, and quality control, working closely with the owner to ensure projects run smoothly, stay on track, and meet expected standards.
This is a flexible, part-time position, suited to someone already active in the industry who can integrate this project into their existing workload.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Quality Control
* Attend site at key stages of construction
* Inspect works before trades complete and ensure quality standards are met
* Do not allow trades to finish until work has been properly checked
* Identify and resolve issues early to avoid rework or delays
Trade Coordination
* Supply and recommend reliable trades for various stages of the build
* Work with the owner to obtain and review pricing from trades
* Communicate with trades regularly (calls/messages) to track progress
* Ensure trades are meeting timelines and expectations
Estimating & Takeoffs
* Complete material takeoffs from plans
* Assist in planning and ensuring materials align with upcoming works
Procurement & Materials
* Order materials and coordinate deliveries to site
* Ensure materials are available ahead of scheduled works
* Minimise delays caused by poor planning or shortages
Scheduling & Progress Tracking
* Assist in coordinating the sequence of works on site
* Help keep the project moving efficiently
* Ensure trades are aligned with the build schedule
Reporting
* Provide regular updates to the owner (calls, messages, photos/videos)
* Flag any delays, risks, or quality concerns immediately
* Maintain clear communication throughout all stages of the build
Work Structure & Flexibility
* Part-time, flexible role depending on build stage
* Site attendance required at key milestones, not full-time
* Can be managed alongside other projects or commitments
* Ongoing communication with trades is expected to keep progress on track
Key Requirements
* Experience in residential construction / site supervision
* Strong ability to manage trades and maintain quality standards
* Ability to read and interpret plans
* Experience completing takeoffs
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented
* Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to Goulburn
Preferred Background
* Qualified carpenter and/or holds a relevant builder's licence
* Based in or not far from Goulburn, or already travelling to the area for other work
* A builder, supervisor, or contractor currently working on other projects
* Has an established network of reliable trades
* Looking for additional income or flexible work
* Takes ownership and pride in delivering a well-run project
Job Type: Subcontract
Pay: $42.12 – $103.43 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Goulburn NSW
