CER Program Manager Role
We are partnering with a leading Utility provider to lead a high-impact program focused on the integration and enablement of Consumer Energy Resources (CER) / Distributed Energy Resources (DER).
This is a pivotal role overseeing a multi-stream program of work that supports the transformation of the energy grid and contributes to Australia's renewable energy future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of the CER/DER Program, aligning IT initiatives with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Oversee multiple projects within the program including systems integration, data platforms, customer interfaces, and operational technologies.
* Develop and manage program roadmaps, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
* Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
* Drive stakeholder engagement, change management, and communication plans to support program adoption and success.
* Report regularly to executive leadership on program status, KPIs, and outcomes.
Required Skills And Experience:
* Proven experience as a Program Manager or Senior Project Manager delivering complex IT initiatives, ideally in the Utilities or Energy sector.
* Strong understanding of Distributed Energy Resources (DER), Consumer Energy Resources (CER), and the evolving energy landscape.
* Experience managing large-scale programs involving enterprise systems, integration layers, data platforms, or IoT/operational technologies.
* Expertise in program governance, agile and hybrid delivery methodologies, vendor management, and financial control.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Engineering, or Business. PMP, MSP, or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
Desired Skills/Experience:
* Familiarity with DER Enablement guidelines and frameworks from bodies such as AEMO or the Clean Energy Regulator.
* Experience working within regulated environments or utilities undergoing digital transformation.
