Overview
Our client is a SME nestled in Melbourne's South-East. This is a broad accounting position, best suited to someone comfortable working within a structured finance team and open to evolving responsibilities as processes become more automated.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and post month-end journals
* Perform GL and balance sheet reconciliations
* Support monthly financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis)
* Assist with budgeting and forecast updates
* Support BAS / PAYG/ FBT compliance and year-end audit preparation
* Contribute to process improvement and finance automation initiatives
* Provide ad-hoc support across AP, AR and payroll journals when required
Qualifications
* Minimum of three years in a similar position
* Experience within a SME
* Process automation experience
* Exposure to BAS, FBT, payroll tax, journals and balance sheet recs
* Experience with BI Tools and ERP systems
* Experience in import, wholesale, or inventory-based businesses
