Job Summary
Green Light Worldwide is seeking a Junior Developer (C++/C#) to support a large transformation project. The role is a 12‑month assignment with a possibility of extension, starting in January, and is based in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane.
Role Overview
You will be part of a team that designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors simple programs/scripts. You will write high‑performance, reliable, maintainable code in C++/C#, use Git for version control, conduct UAT and prepare technical documentation. The position requires a baseline AGSVA clearance; Australian citizens willing to obtain the clearance are preferred.
Responsibilities
Write well‑documented, high‑performance, reliable, maintainable code in C++/C#
Use Git for software versioning and configuration management
Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Prepare and maintain technical documentation
Innovate processes to improve compliance, accountability and security
Learn and develop within a Mainframe environment
Contribute to a safe workplace and comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements
Requirements
Must be able to obtain a baseline clearance; Australian citizens willing to progress through the clearance process are preferred
3‑5 years of experience with relevant tertiary qualification
Strong understanding of end‑to‑end SDLC
Experience working in a controlled development environment with solid version and configuration management control
Ability to write well‑documented, high‑performance, reliable, maintainable code in C++/C#
