The Public Sector Commission is the Queensland Government's central agency for public sector workforce strategy, capability and performance. It provides leadership, advice and services to support a modern, ethical, and inclusive public sector. The PSC works closely with departments and agencies to build a skilled, mobile and high-performing workforce. It is responsible for executive recruitment, employment policy, diversity and inclusion, strategic workforce planning and performance monitoring.
As the
Deputy Commissioner, Delivery and Performance
within the PSC, you will play a critical leadership role in delivering the Queensland Government's vision of a high-performing, future-focused public sector.
Reporting directly to the Public Sector Commissioner, you will lead a newly formed division focused on performance outcomes, digital enablement, public sector capability and governance reform. You will oversee programs and services that support the sector in delivering better services to Queenslanders while embedding a client-centric, outcomes-focused culture.

Your role will be instrumental in leading delivery and performance improvements that enable agencies to meet these commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership across the Delivery and Performance Division
Drive high quality client outcomes by embedding performance excellence and practice improvement
Provide trusted and influential advice to Chief Executives and senior stakeholders on executive employment, reform implementation and capability uplift
Lead the sector's approach to digital, data and automation initiatives including Executive Leadership Information System (ELIS), Working for Queensland and Minimum Obligatory Human Resource Information (MOHRI).
Build enduring relationships across agencies to navigate change, including Machinery of Government transitions
Ensure that insights, evidence and data are leveraged to inform policy and strategic direction
Lead a team of senior executives to deliver measurable performance improvements while fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion and innovation
Oversee workforce planning, talent development and succession strategies to build a resilient leadership pipeline.
About You
You are a future focussed leader who thrives in complex, reform driven environments. Your ability to deliver outcomes across a whole-of-government agenda will set you apart.
Deep experience in leading reform and transformation within large-scale public or private sector organisations
A strong record of providing trusted advice to senior executives and boards
Proven ability to lead systems, strategy, people and culture
A sophisticated understanding of governance, public administration and workforce performance
Demonstrated expertise in navigating politically sensitive or high-stakes environments
Experience leading digital innovation, data transformation or strategic human resource functions is highly desirable
Tertiary qualifications in public administration, law, business or a relevant field will be highly regarded.
