About the Role
Simtech is looking to offer a talented CAD Designer Team Leader to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in transforming ideas into reality. This position will be assisting the Pre-production supervisor to help guide the team to achieve the timelines on projects. This will involve directing staff with designs and concepts.

Responsibilities
* Help assist the team with designs, checking, and direction with projects.
* Translate concepts into detailed, accurate 2D and 3D designs.
* Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure designs meet technical specifications.
* Contribute to brainstorming sessions and offer creative solutions to design challenges.
* Participate in design reviews and make iterative improvements to designs.
* Maintain a keen eye for detail and ensure designs adhere to industry standards.
* Meet time frames and deadlines while maintaining quality at the highest standard.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Solidworks.
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and 3D modelling principles.
* Experience in weldments, sheet metal & structural design.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a skill for turning ideas into actionable designs.
* Attention to detail and an ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
* Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and collaborate seamlessly.
* Leadership experience to help guide team members.
Mon‑Thurs: 6am‑2:30pm
Fri 6am – 12pm
Overtime available upon request
