What Your Day Will Look Like:
* Workshop-based repair and overhaul of hydraulic components
* Onsite breakdown response and hydraulic support for BlueScope Steel and other local businesses
* Disassembly, inspection, fault finding, and reporting on hydraulic equipment
* Manufacturing, assembling, and pressure testing hydraulic hose assemblies
* Maintaining accurate service records and adhering to safety procedures
* Building strong relationships with customers through reliable and professional service
This role offers a mix of workshop stability and field service variety, giving you exposure to a wide range of hydraulic systems and applications.
Skills and Experience:
You're a motivated, hands-on individual who takes pride in quality workmanship.
* Trade qualifications (Mechanical) such as Fitter, Turner & Machinist or Plant Mechanic (preferred but not essential)
* Hydraulic or mechanical industry experience
* Experience in manufacturing hydraulic hose assemblies
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and commitment to safety
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills
