Overview
The Maintenance Electrician is a key role at ALC, part of the Minerva Foods Australia group.
The role of the Electrician at Colac is responsible for the preventative and ongoing maintenance at the Colac site. The role is responsible for providing maintenance support across all levels of the company. The role includes risk assessments, diagnosing, and problem-solving. This is a quick-paced and varied full-time role within the maintenance team with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, reliable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and reporting of equipment performance.
- Carry out preventative maintenance as required.
- Performs computer operations as needed for maintenance department operations, information and recording.
- Assists in carrying out electrical wiring and connections in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 and any other relevant Australian Standard.
- Maintain and apply the principles of WHS in the work environment, including plant isolation procedures and completion of JSA’s and relevant permits.
- Rostered overtime in line with Preventative Maintenance program.
- General and complicated hardware installations.
- Machine & system fault finding.
- Apply and have a good understanding of Relay logic fundamentals.
- Applied understanding of industrial process machine operation, control systems, software applications and new technology, process control PLC systems and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and understand schematic drawings.
- Excellent team player.
- General assistance to other trades.
- Maintaining accurate records.
- Maintenance of workshop cleanliness and tidiness.
- Carry out other tasks and roles as required as a team member to meet company objectives and ensure policies are adhered to.
Qualifications
- Experience and relevant trade qualifications.
- Electrical qualifications/licence as applicable.
- Current Australian driver’s licence (if required).
