Description We are looking for an experienced Heavy Rigid Driver for our busy depot in Launceston. The position carries a responsibility for all aspects of Road Transport Rules and Regulations which should be conducted in a competent, safe and law-abiding manner with due consideration to an efficient and service-oriented environment. Completing any local cartage job as delegated by the supervisor can also be required. The majority of roster will be days that includes some weekends. Skills And Experiences Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Minimum Year 10 Secondary Education (Year 12 preferred) Class HC/MC Vehicle Licence (MC Preferred) MSIC (preferred but not essential) Proven delivery and freight experience Have a focus to always work safely Ability to work without direct supervision Physically fit and willing to do manual handling Numeracy and literacy Skills Strong customer service focus Good communication skills, both written and verbal Full knowledge of federal and state road regulations including load restraint and fatigue management Additional Information Everyday our people; on vessels, at our ports and in our offices play a vital role in connecting local Australian customers to markets across the world.
