About the role
The Senior Field/Soil Technician role is a dynamic and crucial position within our team. As a highly motivated and experienced professional you will be responsible for field‐based soil testing and supervision, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and laboratory procedures. Your expertise and leadership will be vital in providing technical guidance, mentoring less experienced technicians, and delivering high‐quality results. With the opportunity to work on high‐profile sites and access state‐of‐the‐art testing facilities, this role offers a fulfilling and challenging environment for personal and professional growth.
Requirements
* Conduct field‐based soil testing in accordance with Australian standards and laboratory procedures.
* Provide technical advice, assistance and leadership within the team.
* Train and mentor less experienced technicians.
Ideal candidate qualifications
* Demonstrated experience and extensive knowledge of laboratory and field testing.
* In‐depth understanding of AS3798, AS1289, AS1012, AS1141 and AS1726.
* Certificate IV in laboratory techniques.
* Current construction induction white card.
* Current driver's licence and ability to drive manual vehicles.
Personal attributes
* Effective communication skills with co‐workers and clients.
* Self‐motivated and proactive.
* Ability to work flexibly, including some out‐of‐hours work as required.
