**The Client & Role**:
Our client for this position is a Leading Design & Infrastructure company, they're seeking a Systems Infrastructure Analyst to join the organisation and undertake the responsible for enabling infrastructure support for the organisation's environments. As well as be responsible for engaging with technology vendors and managed service providers to ensure all technologies are managed as per the managed service agreements, and that all technologies are current and supported.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with Managed Services provider to ensure optimum performance of infrastructure.
- Work closely with software suppliers including:
- Microsoft
- Redhat
- Kapsch
- Oracle
- SICE
- Quest
- Elastic
- Work closely with hardware suppliers including:
- HPE
- Cisco
- Log incidents, troubleshoot, report, and provide updates to system owners and end users on current issues.
- Liaise with vendors and business owners on the installation of patches, bug fixes and version upgrades.
- Provide feedback and strive for improvements in all aspects of the infrastructure environment.
- Participate in the planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans for all systems.
- Ensure Backups & Recovery processes are in place and current for all systems
- Review/update system documentation in accordance with agreed standards.
- Ensure all technologies are covered by Vendors' Support and/or Warranty Agreements
- Ensure all technologies are maintained at the required software release, firmware, and operating system levels to maintain full vendor support.
- Maintain Life Cycle management records for software, hardware, and operating systems
- Maintain Service Catalogue
- Maintain Configuration Management (CMDB) information

- CIS L1 Benchmark across all hardware and participate in yearly Audits in PCI, CIS and other essential IT audits.
**Required Skills & Specialisms**:
- A degree qualification in Computer Science, IT or related discipline is desirable.
- Operational experience in a 24x7, transaction processing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with management on current issues or other matters of importance.
- Demonstrated ability to follow processes
- Demonstrated ability to create and update technical documentation
- Analytical and investigative skills.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- Working knowledge of Networking and Storage technologies.
- Exposure to but not required: Elasticsearch ELK / Kibana, Shareplex, Business Objects, BIRT, Python, JavaScript, JBoss, Web Services, Quality Centre, Oracle 12c or above, MS SQL Server, PL/SQL.
- Extensive experience (e.g. 7+ years) in ICT support.
