About the Role

Thomas Foods International is seeking a highly motivated HR Administrator to join our team at our Lobethal, SA operations. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our HR department by facilitating various HR processes and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in Human Resources and make a meaningful impact within our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
* Assist employees with queries and resolve issues.
* Help organise company events, employee engagement activities, and team-building initiatives.
* Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
* Provide payroll support, including entering new employees into payroll systems and time sheet verification and data entry.
* Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with employee representatives, employee associations and unions, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Minimum 1 year experience in a similar HR role.
* Payroll experience preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* Understanding of the employee life cycle, including knowledge of employment law, Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
