Hours/Days: 38hrs per week
Casual Pay Rate: $38.45ph casual + super
Location: Daceyville, Miranda, Warriewood, Ryde, Seven Hills, St Marys, Prestons
Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an experienced warehouse operator to coordinate, sort, move, load, unload, issue and receive materials by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment. This role contributes to the effective management of stores and to ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time and place, on a consistent and reliable basis.
On a typical day you will:
* Perform warehouse activities in order to sort, store, issue and receive materials by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment.
* Unpack, count, weigh and often sort materials received by the warehouse to ensure delivery is correct.
* Inspect items and communicate information about damage goods and report overages and shortages and perform loss prevention activities.
* Appropriately manage and/or discard waste (e.g. packing materials)
* Maintain computerise stock inventory and keep material secure, organised and clean and perform general stores housekeeping duties
* Operate and inspect materials handling equipment and stores infrastructure and report any defects.
* Pack and despatch materials or maintenance and report parts to destination
* Examine and segregate return parts for defects and notify relevant internal department for disposition.
* Conduct induction of contractors to site which requires assisting with the Site Induction Presentation and siting Permit to work, hot works, etc if required, in line to safety requirements
* Operate job specific software and systems which include; SAP and MAXIMO
* Ensure application of appropriate governance in accordance with delegation's manual.
* Work across the business with frontline staff to support and enable day to day work tasks and activities
* Work closely with Materials Management and the business to ensure the effective supply of materials
* Liaise with freight carriers and suppliers for deliveries
To be considered for this role you will have:
* A current High Risk Work Licence (Forklift)
* Current driver licence and own vehicle
* Warehousing experience and a familiarity with SAP
* A fantastic attitude and willingness to get the job done
* The ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and pre-employment medical
* A current police check, or the ability to obtain one
* 2 contactable and current work-related references
