**Role Overview**
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Child and Family Practitioner. In this role, you will provide critical support to children, young people, and families who have been impacted by problematic and harmful sexual behaviors.
Duties
1. You will work closely with clients and their families to identify and address risks, including escalating concerns and making child protection reports when necessary.
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, and review safety and support plans that take into account both strengths and areas of risk using a culturally safe lens.
3. Coordinate a culturally safe pathway in wrap-around support by working collaboratively with government departments, schools, health services, and community agencies to deliver integrated services.
Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field, or equivalent lived experience.
* Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and other diverse groups.
* Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families, and children.
* Strong understanding of problematic and harmful sexual behaviors (PHSB) in children and young people, including associated risks and vulnerabilities.
