Kagome Australia is a leading agribusiness with farms located across regional Victoria and New South Wales.
Kagome is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricators to join our Harvest Operations Workshop team in the Echuca area.
The successful candidate will predominantly be responsible for repairing and maintaining bulk raw material bins (ISO container style) and other Harvest Machinery consumables.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Maintain & Repair Kagome’s inventory of bulk raw material bins.
- Other basic Welding/Fabrication tasks as required.
- Administration associated with the repairs/fabrication.
- Assisting Storeman in inventory management & parts logistics during Tomato harvest (Approx. Australia Day to Easter).
- Assisting team of Mechanics/TAs with Machinery R&M; on an ad hoc basis.
What you offer:
- Strong MIG/Arc Welding skillset (Essential.)
- Welding/Fabrication Trade Qualification (Desirable, not essential.)
- Open class driver’s license (Essential.)
- Ability to work Nights & some weekends during Harvest Period (Essential.)
- High Risk Work License Forklift LF (Desirable).
- Able to operate in a cohesive team workplace but also able to work with limited supervision.
- A passion for agriculture and desire to establish a long-term employment relationship with Kagome.
- Physically fit.
