Base pay range: $80,000.00 / yr - $85,000.00 / yr
Position: Quality Engineer
Location: Onsite 5 days per week in Cleveland, OH
Duration: Permanent, FTE
Must Haves:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
* 2-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong understanding of quality systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
* Proficiency in quality inspection tools and software (e.g., statistical analysis tools, CAD).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with teams and suppliers.
* Certification in quality management systems (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Green / Black Belt) is a plus.
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on analyzing, improving, and maintaining quality systems, investigating quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Engineer works collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, design, and suppliers, to identify and resolve quality challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality System Management:
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
* Conduct internal audits and support external audits as required.
Product Inspection and Testing:
* Oversee and perform inspections of materials, products, and processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
* Develop and implement testing protocols and quality standards.
Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:
* Investigate and resolve product quality issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
* Track and report on non-conformance issues and drive continuous improvement efforts.
Supplier Quality Management:
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material and component quality meets specifications.
* Conduct supplier audits and assist in supplier development initiatives.
* Lead quality improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
* Identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, audits, and test results.
* Prepare quality reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
Collaboration and Training:
* Work with cross-functional teams to address quality challenges and improve processes.
* Provide training to employees on quality standards and procedures.
