ABOUT THE POSITION.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join their experienced team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, applying both field and office-based geotechnical engineering practices. DUTIES.
* Plan, manage and execute geotechnical site investigations across NSW
* Analyse soil and rock samples, and interpret field and laboratory test data
* Prepare factual and interpretive geotechnical reports and recommendations
* Assist in foundation and pavement design, slope stability analysis, retaining wall design, and other geotechnical aspects
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
* Conduct construction phase services, including inspections and advice during earthworks and foundation installation
* Ensure work is compliant with Australian Standards, project requirements, and company quality systems
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
* Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline (required)
* Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering (preferred)
* Strong technical knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices
* Proficient in software such as gINT, SLIDE, PLAXIS, SLOPE/W (desirable)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
