About the role
The Program Coordinator (School Based Education Support) oversees curriculum and resource planning, monitors program quality, and manages day‐to‐day operational and administrative requirements. The position also acts as a key liaison across campuses to support consistent delivery, student engagement, and successful pathways into further study and employment. The position reports to the VET CEO and Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and provide support and advice on the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of the School Based Education Support – Vocational Education Training (VET) program.
* Coach and mentor a team and undertake performance and development reviews to promote a highly engaged, positive and effective workplace culture.
* Communicate with university leadership and colleagues within the VET space and build effective relationships with various university business areas.
* Manage administrative tasks relating to operational and strategic planning, governance, budgeting, reporting, resource management and workforce planning.
* Deliver teaching and conduct tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions and clinical sessions, including associated marking and assessments.
Qualifications, skills & experience
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Community Services, Training, Health, or a related discipline, with relevant industry experience.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 and/or TAE40122).
* Demonstrated experience in vocational education and training, including program coordination, training delivery, and assessment within an RTO environment.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying the VET Quality Framework, Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), and regulatory compliance requirements relevant to vocational education.
* Experience supporting trainers and assessors through validation, moderation, resource development, and continuous improvement activities.
* Strong understanding of quality assurance and regulatory compliance within an RTO.
* Ability to build effective relationships with schools, industry, placement providers, and community organisations.
* Leadership skills with the ability to mentor, support, and coordinate staff.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Sound problem‐solving and decision‐making skills with a proactive approach.
* Proficient in LMS, student management systems, and Microsoft Office.
* Postgraduate qualification in education, leadership, or a related field (desirable).
