About us
The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit provides nursing and midwifery education, professional practice development services and clinical practice improvement initiatives for nursing and midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements.
The Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit is led by the Nursing Director of Education and Research. Nurse Educators, Midwifery Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Facilitators, Transfusion Nurse and Librarians report to the Nursing Director of Education and Research. Nurse Educators in Gladstone, Emerald, Aged Care and Mental Health have professional links with the Education and Research Unit.
About the role
The Clinical Facilitator is an experienced clinician employed across the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) to facilitate, guide and support the learning experiences of student nurses and CQHHS graduate registered nurses.
The Clinical Facilitator actively engages in the development of a learning culture, through face‑to‑face interaction and teaching of student nurses and graduate nurses, whilst liaising with the clinical unit and respective teams.
About you
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
* A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
* Successful completion of the preceptor programme.
* A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable for this role.
* A relevant postgraduate qualification in which clinical education was a component is a requirement of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion of the required post‑graduate study within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance review process.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $129,063 is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $56.08 - $60.05 p.h.
