What you'll do This is a strategic, high-impact role where you'll: Champion engineering excellence, resilient systems, automated processes and practice uplift across teams. Design, architect and develop solutions to complex technical problems across large-scale systems. Collaborate in agile ceremonies, retros, and engineering community events. What we're looking for We're after senior site reliability engineers who: Can demonstrate significant experience in site reliability engineering and automation, ensuring high availability. Are full stack developers with experience in modern languages like Kotlin, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Angular, Node), Golang. Have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerised infrastructure. Embrace XP practices and are open to learning and contributing to a strong engineering culture. Communicate well, enjoy working in and with product teams, and care about the customer experience. Have a passion for mentoring, inspiring others, and see their career progressing into technical or people leadership. Bring strong fundamentals in architecture, design patterns, concurrency, and problem-solving. Our recruitment process Our recruitment and assessment process is merit based. For this recruitment we will be conducting a minimum of three interview and assessment stages that form a comparative process. This will include; 1. Panel behavioural interview 2. Short presentation tasks 3. Online cognitive and psychometric testing 4. Reference checks Support office roles will be headquartered across McKell, Parramatta and Gosford. We will consider role headquarters outside of the above locations where the role can reasonably be performed from that location taking into consideration the operational, financial and customer requirements of the role, and an ability to attend a NSW Government workplace as required.
