* Opportunity to provide a broad range of educational, administrative and operational support to the Faculty of Science

* Base Salary, (HEO6) $103,185 - $111,237 p.a. + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Faculty of Science are welcoming applications for an Education Support Officer to provide a range of administrative and operational support to meet the needs of the education team, including managing the compilation and regular updating of learning resources and materials.

Working under broad supervision, the Education Support Officer exercises sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods of work, planning and prioritising tasks, and resolving routine matters.

This role requires the successful candidate to be onsite a minimum of three days per week, and your key responsibilities will include:

* provide administrative support to academic and teaching staff, including policy interpretation and procedural guidance

* assist with program evaluation processes and contribute to improvements in research-based programs using academic feedback

* maintain and update databases and contact lists to support learning and teaching activities, and assist in staff training on systems and policies

* coordinate the compilation and publication of academic content across print and digital platforms

* support teaching operations including assessments, examinations, scholarships, results processing, and evaluation activities

* ensure timely report submission, uphold data integrity, promote compliance initiatives, and champion health and safety standards across work areas

* collaborate with colleagues to address more complex issues and play an important role in fostering a cohesive and effective team environment

* ensure all reporting and compliance requirements are met in line with university standards, contributing to the smooth delivery of educational programs.

About you

* a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a demonstrated ability to apply attention to detail in academic or administrative contexts

* strong computer literacy skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail in digital tasks and data management

* demonstrated experience in time and organisation management, ensuring precision and thoroughness in planning and execution

* the ability to work independently and/or in a team environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail in collaborative and solo tasks

* demonstrated experience with using learning management systems, with careful attention to detail in content handling and system navigation

* two to four years of education administrative experience (desired), with a proven track record of detail-oriented support and process management

* curriculum-based knowledge and skills, paired with the ability to support academic programs and processes with accuracy and insight.
