Full-time Building Associate position available with competitive salary. Work in a dynamic team in Northwest NSW, 2153. About Us Newbuild Developments Pty Ltd was incorporated in New South Wales in 2003.Our core activities encompass the construction and design development of residential buildings for both the public and private sectors. With over 20 years of industry experience, Newbuild Developments has established a reputation for excellence, achieving 100% on-time and on-budget project handovers. About the role To assist the project team in all aspects of project delivery, from initial planning and procurement through to construction and final handover. The role focuses on ensuring seamless project administration, effective on-site coordination, and strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards, thereby contributing to the overall profitability and reputation of Newbuild Developments Pty Ltd. Duties and Responsibilities Project Coordination & Administration Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and plans. Prepare, issue, and track project documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, variations, Requests for Information (RFIs), and Extension of Time (EOT) claims. Maintain accurate and organised project files, both electronic and hard copy, in accordance with company procedures. Assist with the procurement process, including obtaining quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. Process invoices, progress claims, and payment schedules, and assist in tracking project costs against budget. Prepare and distribute project reports, meeting agendas, and minutes as required. On-Site Support Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality of workmanship, and compliance with project specifications. Assist the Site Manager in coordinating trades, materials, and equipment deliveries. Promote and enforce Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures on-site, including conducting site inductions and toolbox talks. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes. Document site activities through daily logs, photographic records, and site diaries. Assist in identifying and rectifying defects and non-conformances. Stakeholder Communication Serve as a reliable point of contact for project stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients. Liaise with local councils, utility providers, and other statutory authorities to coordinate approvals and services. Effectively communicate project requirements and updates to the project team and relevant stakeholders. Compliance & Handover Assist in ensuring all works comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and project-specific engineering and architectural drawings. Assist in the compilation of handover documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operation and maintenance manuals. Support the project team during the defects liability period and project close-out phase. Essential Skills A strong foundational understanding of the construction lifecycle, building methodologies, Australian building codes, and WHS legislation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people. Superior time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. High level of attention to detail, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team. Qualifications needed: Relevant Diploma qualification or equivalent relevant work experience Minimum one year of work experience on relevant position A current, valid Australian driver's licence and a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
