Infrastructure Operations Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our operations team. This role will be responsible for leading service configuration and management, driving deployment management, owning infrastructure reliability, upholding security and compliance, fostering collaboration across teams, building internal capability, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Service Configuration and Management to ensure consistency, security, and alignment across all environments.
* Drive Deployment Management by enabling seamless delivery of new features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Owning Infrastructure Reliability through proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Uphold Security and Compliance by embedding best practices and meeting regulatory requirements across all systems.
* Foster Collaboration Across Teams to align infrastructure capabilities with product needs and support scalable growth.
* Build Internal Capability by mentoring team members and championing modern DevOps and infrastructure practices.
* Ensure Operational Excellence through effective incident management, change control, and alignment with business priorities.
Requirements:
* Australian Government Security Clearance is required; therefore, applicants must be Australian Citizens and have the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
* Strong hands-on experience in Linux systems administration and OpenStack/OpenShift environments.
* Deep understanding of storage solutions like Ceph and Swift.
* Demonstrated capability with automation and CI/CD tools – GitLab, Ansible, Terraform.
* Solid knowledge of networking (e.g., Cisco, Cumulus, Fortinet).
* Experience operating in environments where uptime and reliability are non-negotiable.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and security to align infrastructure with business needs.
