Residential Support Worker - Family Domestic Violence - Broome

About the role

Make a significant impact, creating a sense of safety andbelonging for women and children seeking refuge from Family andDomestic Violence (FDV). We are currently seeking passionate andexperienced Residential Support Worker to provide a safe, secureand welcoming environment to clients accessing our Broome basedFamily Domestic Violence Refuge. We have casualpositions and 3 part time permanentrosters available.

Available Rosters:

Roster 1:

Roster 2:

Week 2: Wed, Thurs 17:00- 22:00 (sleepover 22:00– 6:00)

Roster 3:

Week 1: Mon, Tues, 21:00 – 6:00, Fri, Sat 13:45– 21:15

Week 2: Tues 21:00 – 6:00, Fri, Sat 06:00– 14:00

Reporting to the Refuge Coordinator, you will provide crucialday-to-day care as part of a therapeutic support team providingemotional support and building resilience to those who come toheal.

About you

To ensure a safe and supportive environment for womenexperiencing FDV, we are seeking female staff only for this role.This is essential to maintain a space where women can feelcomfortable, understood, and free from potential power imbalancesor trauma, allowing them to receive the support they need.

You're all about the safety and wellbeing of others andhave substantial relevant experience working with clients acrossdiverse cultures who are considered at risk and/or present withcomplex issues in a residential setting. We are looking for apassionate, caring and resilient individual who has the ability,sensitivity and discretion to work effectively in an often-emotiveenvironment who has:

* Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent(desirable)
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues relatedto people who have experienced trauma, attachment andrelationship difficulties.
* Demonstrated ability to be innovative, flexible, reliableand work autonomously
* Demonstrates and understands relevant regulatory proceduresin identifying hazards, reporting risk and/or compliancerelated issues
* Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* National Police Clearance (obtained within the last sixmonths)
* Driver's Licence
