We're looking for a skilled
Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
to join our
Brooklyn service team
, delivering high‑quality mechanical services across our customer transport fleet. This role plays a key part in our mission to remain Australasia's leading supplier of equipment, parts, and servicing.
You will be
responsible for diagnosing and repairing trailer systems
, with a strong emphasis on
EBS fault finding and rectification
. This includes performing scheduled servicing, general maintenance, and essential repairs to ensure all trailers remain compliant, reliable, and safe on the road.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain trailer systems with a particular focus on EBS troubleshooting and rectification.
* Carry out scheduled servicing, general maintenance, and mechanical repairs across trailers and transport equipment.
* Service, repair, and recondition braking systems, suspensions, axles, air systems, and electrical components.
* Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
* Accurately record materials, complete job documentation, and return used parts.
* Support WIP close‑out, contribute to problem-solving, and follow standard operating procedures.
* Maintain a clean, safe workspace and complete risk assessments as required.
* Collaborate with teammates, service teams, and sales to deliver seamless customer service.
* Road‑test vehicles (where licensed and required).

Qualifications & Experience
* Trade qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in automotive, heavy vehicle, transport, or commercial plant maintenance.
* Strong knowledge of trailer brakes, air systems, electrical systems, and general heavy vehicle repairs.
* Experience with EBS diagnostics and fault rectification (highly regarded).
* Strong communication, teamwork, and time management abilities.
